Home management, simplified.
Running a household shouldn’t feel like a second job. At Well Kept, our mission is to eliminate the invisible "mental load" that comes with maintaining a home.
We believe that a well-managed home is the foundation for a flourishing life. But for too many of us, the complexity of modern living—tracking warranties, managing maintenance schedules, splitting shared expenses, and hunting for receipts—has turned homeownership and shared living into a source of background stress.
Well Kept exists to centralize these thousands of tiny details into one intuitive platform. We aren't just organizing files; we are reclaiming time and mental space so you can spend less time managing your home and more time enjoying it.
We help you take better care of your home and your investments through proactive maintenance and organized record-keeping.
We eliminate the guesswork of home management by automating tracking and providing one clear place for every detail.
Whether you're with roommates or family, we facilitate smoother shared living through transparency and fair financial tools.
Well Kept started when we bought our first home. Like most new homeowners, the initial excitement was quickly met with the reality of responsible ownership. We found ourselves staring at a stack of paper manuals, trying to remember when the HVAC filter was last changed, and realized we had already lost the warranty for our new refrigerator. The "mental load" of simply keeping the house running began to feel like a second full-time job.
We tried to organize. We built elaborate spreadsheets, created shared folders for receipts, and experimented with every task management app on the market. But the tools were either too complex for daily life or too disconnected from the actual needs of a household. When a pipe finally leaked or an appliance broke, we never had the information we needed at our fingertips. We realized that true peace of mind wouldn't come from a better filing system, but from a tool that was built specifically for the rhythm of a home.
Out of sheer necessity, we built the first version of Well Kept. It was a simple prototype designed just for us—a place to snap photos of receipts, track maintenance intervals, and split shared costs without the awkward Venmo requests. Almost immediately, the dynamic in our home changed. The background stress of "did we do that?" vanished. We were finally spending our weekends enjoying our home rather than just managing it.
When friends and family saw what we were using, the response was immediate: "I need that." We saw roommates struggling with fair expense splitting, and parents drowning in the logistics of a growing family home. It became clear that this wasn't just our personal solution—it was something every household deserved. Today, Well Kept is built on that original spark: the belief that your home should be your sanctuary, not your stressor.
Your home is your most private space, and the data inside it—from what you own to how you spend—should stay that way. We never sell your information, we don't data-mine your household activity for ads, and we use industry-standard encryption to keep everything secure. Home management should be about your peace of mind, not a trade-off for your privacy. Read our Privacy Policy for the full details.
We design for real households—not hypothetical ones. Every feature starts with a problem we've seen or heard from our users, and we ship only what actually makes your life easier. You won't find us cramming AI or trendy tech into the product just because everyone else is doing it. If a feature doesn't solve a real problem, it doesn't ship.
Our free plan covers everything most households need. Pro features exist for power users who want more, not as a gate to basic functionality. No hidden fees, no surprises.
We're here to solve your home management problems, not to monetize your needs. You won't find us pushing vendor partnerships, paid contractor referrals, or affiliate product links. We don't sell your data, and we don't make money by constantly trying to sell you things through third parties. Our business model is simple: build software people love and are willing to pay for.
Have questions, feedback, or just want to say hello? We'd love to hear from you.
